Business Manager and Fiscal Officer
Rob Nakfoor serves as Business Manager and Fiscal Officer for Academic Development and Innovation (ADI). In this role, he oversees financial operations, budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal compliance, working closely with the Vice Provost and unit leaders to align resources with ADI’s priorities.
Rob brings a collaborative approach to financial management, helping colleagues navigate university processes, understand financial information, and make informed decisions. His work emphasizes responsible stewardship, clear communication, and practical improvements that support the educators and staff advancing ADI’s mission.
His professional background spans higher education administration, sponsored research, financial analysis, and project management, with experience across university, healthcare, government, and financial services settings. During his previous tenure at MSU, Rob led the university-wide implementation and continued development of Academic Profile and supported research administration. These experiences inform his approach to connecting people, processes, and resources in support of institutional goals.
